Nestled just outside the South Downs National Park, Hewshott Farm Stables is a BHS-approved riding centre and livery yard offering expert tuition and exceptional care in a relaxed, family-friendly environment.
We welcome riders of all ages and abilities — from complete beginners to experienced competitors — with lessons designed to build confidence, skill and a lifelong love of horses.
Our livery services range from full and part livery to bespoke packages tailored to you and your horse. Turnout is available all year round on well-drained, sandy soil, ensuring the best possible conditions whatever the season.

Ever wanted to give dressage a go?
This fun and friendly group is the perfect place to start! Learn how to ride accurate school figures, improve your balance and position, and build a better partnership with your horse.
Through engaging exercises, you’ll develop confidence, communication and control while discovering the basics of dressage. Whether you’re hoping to compete one day or simply want to improve your flatwork, these sessions are a great way to take your riding to the next level in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Competitive Dressage Academy
6-7pm every Friday evening | £46 a session

Ready to take your dressage to the next level?
Designed for riders who are confidently working at a higher level, this group focuses on refining skills, improving test performance and developing horse-and-rider partnerships for competition.
Sessions will include work on accuracy, lateral movements, transitions, engagement, and test riding, helping you gain confidence both at home and in the competition arena. Whether you’re already competing or preparing for your first dressage competition, these lessons will help you achieve your goals in a supportive, motivating environment.
