The Pony Club is the world’s largest equestrian youth organisation, with over 30,000 members across the UK. It offers young people the chance to learn about horses and ponies, develop their riding and horsemanship, and take part in a huge range of fun and educational activities.

At Hewshott Farm Stables, our Pony Club provides a friendly, supportive environment where children can build confidence, make friends and enjoy life with horses — whether they already ride or are just starting out.
How it works
As a Pony Club Centre, we welcome members who don’t have their own pony. Sessions include both mounted rallies and unmounted lessons, where members learn practical pony care and earn achievement badges covering everything from grooming and riding skills to wildlife and working dogs.
Membership is just £42 per year, paid directly to the Pony Club. Once you’re registered as a Centre Member, you can join us here at Hewshott for weekly sessions and activities that make learning with ponies both fun and rewarding.
What You’ll Learn
Pony Club members meet every Saturday afternoon for unmounted sessions that cover the essentials of horse and pony care — from feeding, grooming and tack cleaning to stable management and safety around horses.
Mounted rallies take place regularly, giving riders the chance to put their skills into practice, work towards badges and enjoy riding in a supportive, confidence-building atmosphere.
Each session combines learning, teamwork and fun, helping young riders develop valuable life skills alongside their love of horses.
How to Join
Joining the Pony Club at Hewshott Farm Stables is simple:
Become a Centre Member – Register through the Pony Club website and select Hewshott Farm Stables as your chosen Centre.
Pay the annual membership fee of £42, which goes directly to The Pony Club.
Once registered, contact us to be added to our weekly session list.
Pony Club sessions cost £15 per session and and take place every Saturday afternoon.
Sessions are 1 hour and timings depend on ability. Starting at 1pm and the last group is 4pm.
We’ll send you all the details you need — including what to wear, what to bring and upcoming dates.
